Life-Threatening Emergencies

If you are experiencing any of the following:

• Severe facial swelling affecting your breathing or swallowing
• Uncontrolled bleeding
• A serious facial injury or trauma
• Call 000 immediately or attend your nearest Hospital Emergency Department.

Urgent Dental Problems

If you have an urgent dental problem outside our normal business hours, such as:

• Severe or persistent toothache
• A knocked-out tooth
• Dental trauma following an accident
• Significant swelling or signs of infection
• Please seek prompt treatment from an after-hours emergency dental service. If you are unsure where
• to go, contact 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84), Queensland Health’s free 24-hour health advice service.
• Registered nurses can provide advice and direct you to the most appropriate healthcare service.

Non-Urgent Dental Concerns

For routine dental concerns, such as:

• A lost filling or crown
• A chipped tooth without significant pain
• A broken denture
• General enquiries or appointment requests
